Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports child endangerment arrest following accident investigation

RED OAK, Iowa — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Red Oak man following an investigation into a September single-vehicle accident.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested 42-year-old Ryan Adams of Red Oak at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The arrest followed an investigation into a single-vehicle accident that occurred September 22 in the 2100 block of Hickory Avenue.

Adams was taken into custody in the 100 block of West Coolbaugh Street in Red Oak and charged with child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Adams was booked and was being held on $2,000 cash bond at the time the information was released.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
