RED OAK — Six people were arrested Tuesday following an approximately six-week narcotics investigation conducted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies simultaneously executed two search warrants within the Red Oak city limits on July 21. The first warrant was executed at approximately 9:12 a.m. at 108 West Nuckols Street, while the second was executed at approximately 9:18 a.m. at 307 West Washington Avenue.

At the West Nuckols Street residence, deputies arrested 55-year-old Angela Dawn Jones and Chad Michael Hill, both of Red Oak.

Jones and Hill were each charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony, and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class D felony. Both were being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond at the time of the release.

The sheriff’s office reported that items seized during the search included a substantial amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, cash and other drug-related items.

At the West Washington Avenue residence, deputies arrested four people.

Jason Rolfe Aherns, 38, of Red Oak, was charged with four counts of delivery of methamphetamine, with each count classified as a Class C felony.

Tony Lee King, 40, of Red Oak, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class B felony.

Ashley Nicole King, 33, of Elliott, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, second offense, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Michael Allen Jensen, 61, of Red Oak, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor.

All four were being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond. Authorities said a substantial amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, cash and other drug-related items was also seized during the search.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Red Oak Police Department.

The sheriff’s office also reported two unrelated arrests Tuesday.

At approximately 7:08 a.m., deputies responded to the 1600 block of U.S. Highway 71 for a vehicle that was reportedly stranded following an accident. Following an investigation, deputies arrested 52-year-old David Howard Lynch of Clarinda on charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lynch was taken before a magistrate, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two days in the Montgomery County Jail.

At approximately 10:35 a.m., deputies arrested 36-year-old Nicole Samantha Storey of Omaha. Storey was charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs, a serious misdemeanor, and was being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond.

Except for the reported guilty plea, all charges are allegations, and those accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
