FREMONT COUNTY, Iowa — The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office has released details on multiple arrests occurring between March 26 and March 31, 2026.

On March 26 at approximately 5:17 p.m., deputies arrested 34-year-old Camaron Jean Focht of Sidney on a charge of child endangerment. Authorities say the arrest followed a report involving a video that allegedly showed Focht striking a small child with a bag of trash and failing to render aid. Focht was taken to the Fremont County Jail and later released on cash bond the following afternoon.

On March 27, deputies responded to a disturbance in Hamburg involving 22-year-old Ethan Ryan Peel. After being warned to stay off the property, Peel returned and was arrested for trespassing and third-degree harassment around 1:04 a.m. He was released later that day. About an hour after his release, Peel was reported to be following the victim in his vehicle and attempting contact multiple times. Deputies located him near Foote and Maple Streets in Sidney and arrested him again for violation of a no-contact order. He was released on bond the next day.

On March 30 at approximately 10:27 a.m., 33-year-old Vanessa Leanne Boone of Hamburg was arrested for disorderly conduct. She remained in custody at the time of the report.

Later that evening at approximately 9:34 p.m., Fremont County K9 deputies conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 3900 block of Highway 2. During a search of the vehicle, authorities located marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and two firearms. The driver, 22-year-old Preston Blake Brown of Onawa, was arrested on multiple charges including possession of a weapon while prohibited, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was released the following morning on surety bond.

On March 31 at approximately 1:03 a.m., deputies arrested 71-year-old Lydia Sue McIntosh of Omaha, Nebraska in Randolph on a charge of domestic abuse. She remained in custody.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
