The Page County Attorney’s Office Report

CLARINDA, IOWA, April 6, 2026 — The Page County Attorney’s Office announced today that 50-year-old Kari Kaufman of Shenandoah, Iowa, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of Sexual Misconduct with an Offender, each an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

Judge Richard H. Davidson sentenced Kaufman, in accordance with her plea agreement, to a concurrent two-year sentence of incarceration in the Iowa Department of Corrections, suspended. Kaufman will be placed on probation for a period of two years.

Kaufman will also be required to register as a sex offender for a period of ten years.

This case was investigated by the Iowa Department of Corrections and prosecuted by the Page County Attorney’s Office.
