Cass County Sheriff’s Office Reports Arrests from June 12–18

CASS COUNTY, Iowa — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has released its arrest report covering June 12 through 9 a.m. on June 18, 2026.

Authorities say Crystal Marie Paroda, 43, of Lewis, was arrested June 14 on two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Paroda was transported to the Cass County Jail, where she was booked and held.

On June 15, deputies arrested Michael Scott Riley, 33, of Lewis, on charges of disorderly conduct and interference with official acts. Riley was also transported to the Cass County Jail, booked, and held.

Also on June 15, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office served Randon Daniel Phelps, 41, of Red Oak, with a Cass County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana, second offense. Phelps was transported to the Cass County Jail, booked, and held.

Deputies also served Christian Monreal Sempek, 31, of Elliott, on June 15 with a Cass County warrant for violation of probation. Sempek was taken to the Cass County Jail, booked, and held.

The sheriff’s office notes that all criminal charges are merely accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
