Red Oak Police report arrest on child endangerment charge

RED OAK, Iowa — The Red Oak Police Department reports the arrest of a Red Oak man on a child endangerment charge.

According to the department, officers arrested 48-year-old Jeremy Dillon Nelson at approximately 12:56 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in the 500 block of North Broadway Street.

Nelson was charged with child endangerment causing bodily injury.

Nelson was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was being held on $5,000 bond at the time the information was released.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
