CLARINDA, Iowa — A Page County jury has found 29-year-old Dakota Vilcoss guilty of Assault following a one-day trial in Page County District Court.
According to the Page County Attorney’s Office, Vilcoss was found guilty, contrary to his pleas, of one count of Assault, a simple misdemeanor, and acquitted of one count of Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, after a jury trial held February 26, 2026
. The jury returned its verdict after approximately one hour of deliberation
.Vilcoss is currently free on bond pending sentencing, which is scheduled for March 6, 2026
. He faces a potential sentence of up to 30 days in jail and a fine of $855
.The case was investigated by the Shenandoah Police Department and prosecuted by the Page County Attorney’s Office
