Montgomery County ISU Extension Director Sadie Lindgren joined KCSI to talk about several upcoming programs and events planned through the Extension office.
Upcoming opportunities include an Advanced Grain Marketing course on March 24 and March 31, free tax preparation assistance through the VITA program (available through March 30), and livestock weigh-ins ahead of the Montgomery County Fair.
The Extension office is also planning youth summer day camps and recently hosted the Corner on Ag Conference, which brought together regional speakers to discuss markets, farm succession, pasture management, and water quality.
Looking ahead to fall, Montgomery and Page County Extension will launch a new Master Conservationist Program beginning September 3, featuring weekly sessions focused on land and water conservation topics.
