O’Neal joined KCSI to talk about the transition following the retirement of longtime hospital leader Ron Kloewer, who served the organization for 36 years.
During the conversation, O’Neal and CFO Bryant Blay discussed the hospital’s leadership team, the challenges of healthcare financing, and the future of healthcare in southwest Iowa.
They also talked about plans to continue expanding services locally, possible facility upgrades, and an application for grant funding to help purchase a Da Vinci robotic surgery system.
Hospital leaders say their focus moving forward centers on three priorities: access to local healthcare, continued growth in services, and maintaining financial stability for the future.
