Red Oak Police Report

RED OAK, Iowa — The Red Oak Police Department investigated a single-vehicle accident Friday, May 8, at approximately 10:11 a.m. in the 2000 block of North 8th Street.

According to the report, 22-year-old Jordan Grace Main was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima southbound on North 8th Street when she took her hands off the steering wheel to remove or adjust a bandage. The vehicle then veered off the roadway and struck a speed limit sign.

No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued. The vehicle sustained an estimated $1,500 in damage and was driven from the scene. Damage to the traffic sign was estimated at $500.

The accident was investigated by the Red Oak Police Department.
