A Red Oak woman was arrested Wednesday evening on a disorderly conduct

RED OAK, Iowa — A Red Oak woman was arrested Wednesday evening on a disorderly conduct charge following an incident investigated by local police.

According to the Red Oak Police Department, 61-year-old Ruth Kristine Burns was arrested on March 25, 2026, at approximately 6:22 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct related to loud noise.

Officers were dispatched to 208 E. Reed Street at around 6:11 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. Following an investigation, Burns was taken into custody by Red Oak Police.

Burns was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where she was being held on a $300 bond.

The Red Oak Police Department handled the arrest.
