Montgomery County hires part-time budget, finance and HR clerk

The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a hiring recommendation for a temporary part-time Budget, Finance and Human Resources clerk, offering the job to Kelsey Swanson at $30 an hour, not to exceed 30 hours a week.

The vote was 3-1. Supervisor Mark Peterson voted no. Supervisor Bryant Amos was absent. Four supervisors were present.

“This is a special position,” Schmid said, adding that the hire will need that mix of skills. Swanson is already employed and told the board she can start in about two to three weeks after giving her current employer notice. She will report to the Board of Supervisors and, after training, work among county offices as needed.
