Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Reports Stanton Man Arrested on Firearm Charge

STANTON, Iowa — A Stanton man was arrested Saturday following a report from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrested 49-year-old Christopher Lowrance, of Stanton, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at approximately 10:22 p.m.

Lowrance was charged with control of a firearm by a felon, a Class D felony. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was being held on $5,000 bond at the time of the release.

The arrest was reported by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
