Page County Attorney, James L. Varley, reports the following activities in the Iowa District Court for Page County for the week of March 2, 2026. The Honorable Michael Hooper, District Court Judge of the Fourth Judicial District presided. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Andrew William Berner, age 55, Council Bluffs, Iowa, appeared with counsel and admitted to violating the terms and conditions of probation. The defendant’s probation was revoked and the original sentence of 5 years of incarceration was imposed.
Gerald William Christianson, age 21, Shenandoah, Iowa, appeared pro se and pled guilty to Possession of Marijuana-1st Offense. The defendant was sentenced to 5 days of incarceration and fined $200. The fine was suspended and the defendant was ordered to pay court costs and court-appointed attorney fees.
