Two Arrested Following Traffic Stop in Villisca

Two people were arrested Monday, June 29th, following a traffic stop in Villisca.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted the traffic stop at approximately 11:08 a.m. in the 100 block of North U Avenue. Upon further investigation, deputies arrested 43-year-old Luke Allan Mullen, of Bedford, Iowa, for driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, and theft 2nd degree of a motor vehicle, a Class D felony.

Mullen was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was being held on $5,000 bond.

Deputies also arrested 54-year-old Alberta Starlynn Montano, of Westminster, Colorado. Montano was charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, 2nd offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and theft 2nd degree of a motor vehicle, a Class D felony.

Montano was also taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where she was being held on $5,000 bond.
