Red Oak Police Report: Two Arrested on Trespassing Charges
RED OAK, Iowa — The Red Oak Police Department reports two people were arrested early Monday morning, May 11, 2026, following a trespassing complaint.
According to the Red Oak Police Department report, officers responded at about 12:14 a.m. to the 400 block of North 2nd Street.
Police arrested 40-year-old Jacob Wayne Dykes-Vargas of Red Oak and 27-year-old Samantha Duffield-Cunningham of Red Oak.
Both were charged with first-offense trespass, a simple misdemeanor under Iowa Code 716.8(1). Both were transported to the Montgomery County Jail and held on $917.50 bond each.
Agencies involved include the Red Oak Police Department and the Montgomery County Jail. The arrest report states that a criminal charge is merely an accusation and each defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
